Registration Information
Registration is conducted on Testudo. Click the Registration (Drop/Add) link to add/drop classes.
All registration questions should be directed to interim academic advisor, Taj Rayhan at smith-mpo-ftmba@umd.edu.
Registration Date
Tuesday, March 28 at 12:30 p.m. for all students
Students should check their account for blocks and resolve prior to the start of registration.
Term Dates
Term A: August 28 - October 16 |
Term A Finals: October 17 - 20

Term B: October 23 - December 14 |
Term B Finals: December 15 - 17

Registration Instructions
Fall 2023 Courses (12 - 16 credits):
All 2nd Year MBA students should register with a track code for the following courses in Fall 2023:
Term A (2 credits):
- BUSM621 Digital Transformation in Business
Term B (2 credits):
- BUSM616 Managerial Accounting
Track Registration: Enter the assigned track code and section number to register for required Fall 2023 courses
Register for Core Courses
Within Registration (Drop/Add), enter:
- Select Term: Fall 2023
- Course Number: MBAA99MB (Track Assignment)
- Section Number: MB21 (Track Section)
- Grade Type: Choose None from the drop-down menu
- Credits: Leave blank
- After the track and remaining electives are added, click Submit Changes
- Students will receive a message stating courses are non-standard. Click Enter to bypass this message
- Click View Schedule to confirm required courses
Register for Elective Courses:
Refer to the Full-Time MBA elective spreadsheet for course options.
- Students who would like to consider course options in the MS, Flex/Online MBA programs can connect with faculty to decide which elective options will fit with their career goals.
- Course Requests must be submitted in advance and students will be notified of the result of their request(s) accordingly.
- It is recommended that students take a maximum of 4 courses per term. If you have any questions, please reach out to interim academic advisor, Taj Rayhan at smith-mpo-ftmba@umd.edu.
Elective Course Registration Instructions:
Within Registration (Drop/Add), enter:
- Select Term: Fall 2023
- Course Number: (Ex. BUSM715)
- Section Number: (Ex. 0101)
- Grade Type: Choose Regular from the drop-down menu
- Credits: 2
- After all courses are added, click Submit Changes
- Students will receive a message stating courses are non-standard. Click Enter to bypass this message
- Click View Schedule to confirm courses

Once you submit your request, we will review it in August before the semester begins. You will be notified via email in mid August if it has been approved or denied.
