Registration Information

Registration is conducted on Testudo. Click the Registration (Drop/Add) link to add/drop classes. 

All registration questions should be directed to campus advisors.

Registration Date

Tuesday, February 22 at 7:30 a.m.

Registration Blocks:
Students should check their account for blocks and resolve by February 11.

Summer I: May 23 - July 7
Summer I Finals:  July 8 - July 10
Summer II: July 11 - August 25
Summer II Finals: August 26 - August 28

Fall 2020 Admits:

1) Summer I Required Course(s)

Students who will complete their 54 course credits and intend to graduate in August 2022 must register for the following. Students who will complete their 54 course credits in December 2022 may elect to register for BUSI787 DC 11 Integrative Capstone in Summer I 2022 OR Fall 2022. 

1) BUSI787 DC11 Integrative Capstone (Closing Residency)*

2) BUSI758R BA11 Business Ethics

Register for BUSI787 DC11 Integrative Capstone:

Within Registration (Drop/Add), enter:

  1. Select Term: Summer I 2022
  2. Course Number: BUSI787 (Required Course)
  3. Section Number: DC11 (Required Course)
  4. Grade Type: Choose Regular from the drop-down menu
  5. Credits: 2
  6. After course is added, click Submit Changes
  7. Students will receive a message stating courses are non-standard. Click Enter to bypass this message
  8. Click View Schedule to confirm courses

*NOTE: Closing Residency will be offered in-person in Van Munching Hall at the College Park campus. Expect an 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. schedule each day, and group work prior to in-person meeting dates. 

  • BUSI787 DC11 in Summer I 2022 will meet in-person on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5.
  • BUSI787 DC11 in Fall 2022 will meet in-person on Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13.

PT-Flex MBA students are eligible to take elective courses at any of the off-site campuses: Baltimore, Rockville or Washington, DC.

Review available Summer II 2022 courses.

On the Registration (Drop/Add) page within Testudo enter:

  1. Select Term: Summer II 2022
  2. Course Number: (Example: BUSI730)
  3. Section number: (Example: BA21)
  4. Grading Method: Choose Regular from the drop-down menu
  5. Credits: 2
  6. After all courses are added, click Submit Changes
  7. Students will receive a message stating the course is non standard. Students must click Enter to bypass this message.
  8. Click View Schedule to confirm courses

Required Course Request (Off-Track or Off-Site Students)
Complete the Course Request Form to request a required course that was not taken in sequence or is being offered at a different campus than a student's home campus. Requests are reviewed approximately two weeks prior to the start of the semester. Please contact your campus advisor to request courses in the Online MBA program. 

Immediate Payment Exemption

Smith MBA students are entitled to an Immediate Payment Exemption. Please disregard the Testudo message indicating that immediate payment is required post-registration. 

Financial Aid: Students who want to be considered for financial aid in the Summer must choose "financial aid" under payment options. The Financial Aid Office will receive your information and package your award. 

Registering for More than 6 Credits Total in Summer I & II
Students must contact their campus advisor for approval. 

Waitlist
If a course is full, students must be on the waitlist for future consideration should seats become available. Starting the first day of classes for the University, students on a waitlist for a course must execute daily waitlist check-ins online to remain on the waitlist (Testudo Waitlist Check-In). Placement on the waitlist does not guarantee admittance to the course.
