Registration Information
Registration is conducted on Testudo. Click the Registration (Drop/Add) link to add/drop classes. 
All registration questions should be directed to campus advisors.
Registration Date
Tuesday, March 28 at 12:30 p.m. for all students

Check for Registration Appointments by March 17. 


Registration Blocks:

Students should check their account for blocks and resolve by March 17.

Term A: August 28 - October 12
Term A Finals: October 13 - 15
  • September 1 (Monday-only classes scheduled for 9/4/23 holiday)
    • September 4 (University Holiday - Labor Day)
  • Instructors will confirm exam schedule. Review class syllabus for details
Term B: October 23 - December 14
Term B Finals: December 15 - 17
  • November 23 - 24 (University Closed for Thanksgiving)
  • Instructors will confirm exam schedule. Review class syllabus for details

Registration Instructions

Fall 2023 Courses for Spring 2023 Admits (10 credits):

Spring 2023 admits are expected to register with a track code which will automatically register the following courses:

Please note that Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 admits will take these courses together.

Term A (6 credits):

  • BUSI600 Fundamentals of Business Decision Making
    • In-person meeting dates at Van Munching Hall, College Park from August 19-20, 2023 with required prework
    • Students who successfully completed BUSI600 in Spring 2023 should follow up with their campus advisor to remove this course as it's a part of the track
  • BUSI681 Managerial Economics and Public Policy
  • BUSI662 Leadership and Teamwork

Term B (4 credits):

  • BUSI718D Data Driven Analytics
  • BUSI650 Marketing Management

Track Registration: Enter the assigned track code and section number to register for required Fall 2023 courses

Within Registration (Drop/Add), enter:
  • Select Term: Fall 2023
  • Course Number: MBAB99MB (Track Assignment)
  • Section Number: 
    • Baltimore students: BA11 (Tuesday & Thursday core classes)
    • Rockville students: GS11 (Monday & Wednesday core classes)
    • Washington, DC students: DC11 (Monday & Wednesday core classes)
  • Grade Type: Choose None from the drop-down menu
  • Credits: Leave blank
  • After track is added, click Submit Changes
    • Students will receive a message stating courses are non-standard. Click Enter to bypass this message
  • Click View Schedule to confirm required courses

Example:

Spring 2023 Admits are not encouraged to take elective courses in their first Fall semester of their MBA program.

  • Students who completed BUSI600 Fundamentals of Business Decision Making (Opening Residency) in January 2023 are exempt and are allowed to take one MBA elective though not required.

Course Requests
  • Off-Track Students Who Missed Required/Core:
    • Complete the Course Request Form to request a required course that was not taken in sequence or is being offered at a different campus than a student's home campus. Requests are reviewed approximately two weeks prior to the start of the semester. Please contact your campus advisor to request courses in the Online MBA program. 
  • Students Requesting Online MBA Core Classes:
    • Complete the Online MBA Course Request Form noted for BUSO courses only. A new form is created for each semester prior to registration. Submissions of this form do not guarantee seats in the OMBA core equivalent course.
    • Please submit Course Requests for Online MBA courses in advance of the start of the semester or term.

  • Payment deadlines
    • Registered for class by July 25, 2023 - Due by August 20, 2023
    • Registered for class after July 26, 2023 - Due by September 20, 2023
Registering for More than 8 Credits in Fall 2023
  • Students must contact their interim campus advisor for review and approval.
  • Exemptions:
    • Spring 2023 admits because of BUSI600
    • Students using the GI Bill.
    • Students in the Tech Management Certificate program if completing required TM courses.
    • Students completing BUSI758D-E Business Decoded as part of their total Fall courseload. 
Waitlist
  • If a course is full, students must be on the waitlist for future consideration should seats become available. Starting the first day of classes for the University, students on a waitlist for a course must execute daily waitlist check-ins online to remain on the waitlist. Placement on the waitlist does not guarantee admittance to the course.
