Susan Pollack is the Program Manager for the Flex and Online MBA programs at the Rockville campus. Prior to joining Maryland Smith, she served as an instructional technologist, instructional support specialist, and digital communications specialist at University of Maryland Global Campus, where she supported faculty and academic administrators across the e-learning enterprise. She has experience with course development, technology integration, LMS administration, classroom and content management, website development, training, and research. She has directly supported adult learners as a writing coach and teaching assistant in online graduate-level courses. Susan was heavily involved in the development and standardization of the university's OER initiative and helped lead her team to win two awards from IMS Global Learning Consortium while serving as managing editor of a bimonthly faculty ezine.
Previously, Susan was an editorial assistant and product development editor for the McGraw-Hill Continuing Education Center during its transition from paper-based to online courses. She has held leadership roles with a variety of organizations and enjoys taking on new challenges.
Susan holds a BA in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Distance Education degree from University of Maryland Global Campus.
