This workshop is an introduction to Python.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
- Learn how to get set up and install Python
- Find out how to write your first Python script
- Learn the basics of Python
- Numbers, Strings, List, Tuple & Dictionary
- Conditionals, Loops and custom functions
- Data Analytics using Numpy and Pandas
- Import and Data Cleaning
- Subsetting, filtering and manipulating datasets
- Summary of Statistics/Descriptive Analytics
- Data Visualization using Seaborn
- Learn to make interactive charts in python
Software/hardware: Prior to the workshop, you should install the required software and test its operation. The easiest approach is to install Anaconda on the system, which is available free on https://www.anaconda.com/distribution/. Steps for downloading the software will be provided prior to the workshop.
