Required Course Information
Students register for four first-year required courses, two each in Term C and Term D, for a total of 8 credits. Multiple sections are offered for each required course. Register for your preferred section.

- Enter course information (for each required course):
- Course Number: (Ex. BUSO601)
- Section Number: (Ex. SO11)
- Grading Method: Regular
- Credits: 2
- Click Submit Changes.
- A message may appear stating that the course is non-standard; click Enter to bypass this message.
- Note: All graduate-level courses at the Smith School of Business are non-standard.
- Click View Schedule to confirm courses.
Registration Notes
- Fall 2026 admits who missed BUSO700 Fundamentals of Business (Opening Residency) in Fall 2026 should contact their advisor at smith-mpo-omba@umd.edu to discuss next steps. BUSO700 is required for graduation.
