Required Courses
Register for the appropriate Spring Term C required courses (select one section per course):
- BUSO626 The Global Economic Environment
- SO31: Thursdays, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
- SO32: Thursdays, 8:15 - 9:45 p.m.
Register for the appropriate Spring Term D required course (select one section per course):
- BUSO620* Strategic Information Systems
- SO11: Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
- *If you have not taken this required course and are slated to graduate in May, August or December 2026, please contact your advisors Rachel and Karen via the Online MBA inbox: smith-mpo-omba@umd.edu for permission to register.
Elective Courses
Students should add elective courses in Term C and/or Term D as needed to complete degree requirements.
Note: Students who complete the first 2 credits of BUSO788B GX01 Doing Business in Brazil or BUSO788W Doing Business in Asia in Fall 2025 are expected to register for the final 2 credits of the global trek course in the Spring.

Course Registration Instructions
Within Registration (Drop/Add), enter:
- Select Term: Spring 2026.
- Enter course information:
- Course Number: (Ex. BUSO733)
- Section Number: (Ex. SO51)
- Grading Method: Select None from the drop-down menu
- Credits: leave blank
- Click Submit Changes.
- A message may appear stating that the course is non-standard; click Enter to bypass this message.
- Note: All graduate-level courses at the Smith School of Business are non-standard.
- Click View Schedule to confirm courses.
Technology Management Course Registration
Students enrolled in the Technology Management Certificate program should register for the required Tech Management courses in the same way they would for electives, but only after receiving an email from the Masters Programs Office confirming that they are eligible to register.
