Provides an introduction to the legal process and the substantive law that shapes the legal environment of business. This course is designed to help students understand how law affects business operations, enabling them to identify and critically analyze legal issues that arise in a business context. Through a comprehensive study, students will gain insights into the impact of legal decisions and appreciate the importance of legal risk management in business. The curriculum covers essential topics such as the nature of law, legal civil procedure, constitutional law, torts, contracts, and intellectual property/AI law. Additionally, students will explore management of for-profit C corporations and basics of securities regulation, equipping them with the knowledge to navigate the complex legal landscape in managerial roles.
