Students will learn that as leaders, they must understand what they can and should do to help connect the dots between actions and strategic intentions.
Course Objectives Accountable to Students:
- Describe to others what it means for a leader (at any level) to lead strategically
- Make decisions about an organization’s architecture (culture, talent, information sharing processes) so that it is aligned with its strategic intentions
- Choose a set of performance metrics that help monitor execution of strategic intentions
- Promote focus and a sense of purpose in others by helping them envision how their actions support strategic intentions
- Demonstrate to others – one's peers, manager, even recruiters -- that one can think and act strategically
