Career Services

Summer 2023 Update from Career Services:

The Office of Career Services provides students with direct access to job opportunities, corporate presentations, and a variety of career management resources. The OCS team is here for one reason -– to help you secure a new foothold in the business world from which you can create the value you strive to create in the world. We know how important this is to you. We are here to help you get there. With opportunities to meet employers happening in early fall, we know that helping you get a great start to your career exploration and preparation is key to achieving your career goals.

To help you get that great start, you will be working with us each of the 10 weeks leading up to orientation. The work you will be doing -- with us, your peers, alumni, and second-year students -- is what we call our “Be Fearless Career Campaign”. Below you will find the curriculum for our "Be Fearless Career Campaign" leading up to Orientation. Please put these dates in your calendar and carve out time in what we know is going to be a busy summer. Starting in early June, you will be added to our 'Be Fearless' Career Onboarding course in the ELMS-Canvas online portal where you can get a jump start reviewing the pre-onboarding material that will be available to you.

If you have any career questions at all, feel free to reach out to Dori Jamison, Director of Graduate Career Coaching of the Office of Career Services at djamison@umd.edu.

We look forward to working with you!

Sincerely, the OCS Graduate Coaching Team,

Dolores Daly, Dori Jamison, Rachel Loock, John Malone, Adam Shpall, and Seth Travers
