Special Notice Regarding Photography During Orientation and Graduate Program
During Orientation/Residency and throughout the duration of each academic program, the Robert H. Smith School of Business will photograph and video tape students under the following circumstances and purposes:
Photography & Videography
Circumstance: University staff will take photographs for use on the University ID, for display in the Canvas database, for display on the Networth website event pages, for use within its Salesforce database, and for use in other Smith School of Business created marketing and promotional materials.
Purpose: The ID is required identification of all students at the University. The use of the photo in the Canvas database is for identification purposes for the Smith School of Business community only (i.e. faculty, staff, students and student associations). Networth event pages allow website visitors to review event highlights.
Permission for Photo Release
By inserting your name and University ID number below, you are agreeing to the following terms: I hereby give permission to the University of Maryland/Smith School of Business and its agents to use and reproduce my name, audio recordings, and my images (collectively, “Images”) for the beneficial purposes described above. When used for the purposes described above, I expressly waive any right I might have of prior approval over how and where my name and Images will be used, any claim for compensation of any kind I might have from the use of my name and Images, and all rights of privacy and rights accruing under the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and the Maryland equivalent of that law.
