Tuition and fees are subject to change and annual increases. Although changes in fees are ordinarily announced in advance, the University reserves the right to make such changes without previous announcement.
In-State Residency Status
Students wishing to challenge their out-of-state classification may do so by filing a timely "Petition of In-State Status Form" with the Office of the Registrar. Informational sessions are typically held at the beginning of the semester. The deadline for meeting the 12-month requirement for in-state status and for submitting a petition and supporting documentation is the end of the schedule adjustment period for the semester in which you wish to be classified as in-state. Retroactive in-state status is not granted.
It is imperative that students obtain a petition as soon as possible. Late petitions will not be accepted. The volume of petitions for review of eligibility may necessitate a delay in completing the review process. It is to your advantage to apply early.
