Registration Notes

• Your Directory ID and password must be set BEFORE you can register; see Directions for Setting Up Directory ID and Password.
• In-person attendance dates for Opening Residency occur before the start of Term A on Saturday & Sunday, August 15 & 16, 2026 in Van Munching Hall on the College Park campus. Completion of Opening Residency through the BUSO700 Fundamentals of Business course is required to graduate.
• Both Flex and Online MBA students register for BUSO700 Fundamentals of Business.
• Registration is conducted via Testudo's Registration (Drop/Add) feature.
• Testudo will not allow you to register for core courses individually. All incoming Flex MBA students are assigned to the same track of courses for the Fall semester. Enter the information as indicated below and register for the correct section based on your home campus.
• The Fall 2026 semester totals 10 required credits.

The last day to register for BUSO700 is Monday, August 10, 2026 by 10:00 a.m.

Registration Steps

1. Go to Testudo.
2. Select Registration (Drop/Add).
3. Enter your [Directory ID] and [password] in the Central Authentication Service (CAS) login screen and click Log In.
4. Select Term: Fall 2026.
5. Enter the Fundamentals of Business (Opening Residency) course information:
   • Course Number: BUSO700
   • Section Number: SO91
   • Grading Method: Select Satisfactory/Fail from the drop-down menu
   • Credits: leave blank
6. Enter the Core Courses track information:
   • Course Number: MBAB99MB (track code)
   • Section Number (enter the section for your home campus):
     • Baltimore: BA11
     • Rockville: GS11
     • Washington, DC: DC11
   • Grading Method: Select None from the drop-down menu
   • Credits: leave blank
7. Click Submit Changes. A message may appear stating that the course is non-standard; click Enter to bypass this message.
   • Note: All courses in the Smith MBA program are non-standard as defined by the University.
8. Click View Schedule to confirm courses.

Core Course Schedule for Fall 2026

Below are the courses included in the Fall 2026 track.

• Courses are completed in 7-week sessions referred to as terms. Term A meets August through mid-October and Term B meets mid-October through December.
• For specific dates, including the final exam period, review the Academic Calendar.
• All in-person classes meet 6:25–10:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted in the syllabus.
