This week we would like to introduce you to frequently asked finance questions. As always, please remember to visit the Admitted Student Website on Networth to access the Pre-Program Checklist to stay on top of weekly task items.

 

Frequently Asked Finance Questions:  

 

When do I complete the FAFSA?

  • Students are required to complete the FAFSA each academic year to receive federal aid. Please complete your FAFSA by June 30th to ensure processing prior to the start of the Fall Semester.
  • FAFSA loans are available for review and acceptance on Testudo
  • Loans are disbursed typically 10-14 days prior to the beginning of the semester

 What is the expected cost breakdown for an MBA student?

  • Take a look here for a breakdown for tuition and fees, books, and personal expenses/transportation for the 2016-2017 year

When are bills generated?

 

Fall Bills

  • Bills are generated in mid-July for any existing registration with payment due on August 20th

Spring Bills

  • Bills are generated in mid-December for any existing registration with payment due on January 20th

 Winter and Summer Bills

  • Winter Bills are generated in early November and payment is due December 20th.
  • Summer Bills are generated in early March and payment is due April 20th

 

Where do I go to make tuition payments? 

Where can I view my bill online?

  • Go to Testudo
  • Click on: Financials in the left hand sidebar
  • Click on: Student Account Inquiry and Bill Payment
  • Log-in using your Directory ID and password

 

Who do I contact for an itemized bill for my employer?

  • An itemized bill can be requested by emailing the Bursar directly at billtalk@umd.edu
