Below are more details on your financial package.

 

1) Financial Award for Spring of 2022 and Fall of 2022 only*   

The monetary award will be evenly disbursed between Spring of 2022 and Fall of 2022. Please note that the financial award may be posted as a scholarship or tuition reduction.

In exchange for 360 hours of work per academic year (an average of 12 hours a week), Graduate Assistants receive the following benefits:

  • tuition remission at the graduate level rate
    • 10 x $768 = $7,680 (automatically applied to your student account)
  • a stipend issued in bi-weekly paychecks
  • the option to purchase subsidized health insurance
  • charged in-state tuition during your appointment
    • approximate savings of $8,660 if you are a non-resident

 

To keep your financial award and your Graduate Assistantship, you must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, continue to meet assigned expectations and responsibilities and remain in good academic standing and student conduct.


If you choose to decline the Graduate Assistantship portion of the award package, you will not be eligible for any of the benefits listed above which includes covering the difference between in-state tuition rate and out-of-state tuition rate.
