Fall 2022 Admit Curriculum

Students are required to complete 36 required course credits for graduation. The required courses are listed below. All courses are 2 credits (unless otherwise noted). Curriculum and course numbers are subject to change.

All required courses are completed with a student's cohort at their home campus. The cohort model provides an active, interactive, and dynamic setting for students to develop their knowledge and skill sets. Intended to strengthen the overall MBA experience for each individual, a cohort brings students together to build a strong community, foster creativity, and develop leadership skills.

In addition, the Business Decoded Saturday Seminars are held throughout the academic year at Van Munching Hall, College Park, and explore new developments in business and are taught by our own Maryland Smith faculty experts. Flex MBA students at all three locations are required to complete 50 hours (4 credits total) of these special topic seminars as part of their required courses to graduate.

The Capstone is a venture simulation where teams will compete to attract investments and generate the best returns for the stakeholders. Students will gain experience in market analysis, strategy formulation, and the management of a new venture, exploring the interconnectedness of the various functional business areas.

Due to the nature of the course, students are strongly encouraged to complete this requirement near the end of their program of study. The Capstone course will be held at Van Munching Hall in College Park. Students should anticipate an 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. schedule each day.
