Intermediate Structured Query Language (SQL) Workshop

The Masters Programs Office (MPO) and the Smith Master Student Association (SMSA) have partnered to offer an online Intermediate Structured Query Language (SQL) Workshop led by Smith School alumni Ravi Pandey.

Zoom login information will be sent to registered attendees via email from SMSA the evening prior to the workshop.

This workshop is subject to cancellation due to low registration.

Expected Learning Outcomes:

Understand how to write complex SQL queries to gain insights from data. 
Prerequisite & Preparation:

This class is offered online, and requires a computer and a strong internet connection.
Windows users will need Microsoft Windows 8/10.
MAC users will need Mac OS 10+.
Participants should have a basic understanding of SQL.
Students must have MYSQL Server and Workbench installed (https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/) before the start of the workshop.

Content will include:

Retrieving complex data using SELECT, FROM, WHERE, GROUP BY, HAVING, ORDER BY
Using Joins and Subqueries
Window functions for Advanced queries
Aggregate functions
