Do you want to know the keys to successfully completing an experiential, action learning course at Smith? Do you want to learn how to create a project that has impactful results for a company and furthers your career growth? Come hear from Smith alums at our Fearless Speakers event featuring Christine Antonsen, Ernestine Blango, and Giulio Galleri! This event will be facilitated by Professor Dastidar, lead faculty of the OMBA Action Learning Project course. All OMBA and Flex MBA students who will be taking an experiential, action learning based course are strongly encouraged to attend this session. Students from other programs are also welcome.

Speaker bios

Christine Antonsen is a Senior Technical Manager at CarMax, specializing in Big Data, Customer Data Platforms, and Master Data Management. Prior to Carmax Christine worked at GEICO from 2015-2021, with her most recent role as a manager leading GEICO’s Customer 360 initiatives.  While working at GEICO, Christine obtained her MBA in 2018 from the Robert Smith School of Business. Christine completed her undergraduate degree at Oberlin College, graduating in 2015 with a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science with High Honors.

Ernestine Blango was born in Sierra Leone and immigrated to the United States in the late 80s. Ernestine has over 15 years of experience working in business operations. She works as Business Operations Senior Manager for a non-profit advocacy group engaging in public affairs campaigns on behalf of 50+ Americans in her current role. In her current role, Ernestine performs budget forecasts, high-level operations support, and project management for significant federal and state issue campaigns. Ernestine is married with three young children, ages 1, 3, and 5.  She is a Maryland resident who resides in Beltsville. She has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Trinity College Washington, DC.

Giulio Galleri is an Executive with deep global expertise in all areas of energy, natural resources, and construction industries with over 15 years of experience in 4 Continents. He graduated in Law and Economics and Political Science, further educated with an M.B.A. in General Management and an LL.M. in Commercial Law. Galleri has held roles such as Board Director, CEO, VP, Project Sponsor and Contract Manager across North America on large energy, oil and gas and mining exploration projects up to the value of $5B. Giulio has been awarded the 2021 Italy - Canada Award for outstanding contribution to building bridges between Italy and Canada. He is currently supporting Pipestone Projects as a Strategic Advisor.
