The Masters Programs Office is pleased to offer an Adobe Connect chat with Leslie Mostow, CPA, CGMA, Assistant Academic Director for the MS Accounting program, to discuss the CPA exam on Friday, April 24 at noon. Leslie can answer questions on state requirements, qualification, and prepping for the exam.
Leslie has an extensive accounting background. Not only has he been a faculty member at the University of Maryland for years he was also a former Chairman of the Maryland State Board of Accountancy. Currently he sits on the AICPA Board of Examiners, the committee that oversees the CPA exam.
Please plan to log in promptly at noon, Leslie will start with an information session and then open the chat to your questions. If you would like to submit any questions in advance, please email them to Jbesoner@rhsmith.umd.edu.
Logging into the Q&A Chat:
Step 1: Click here: CPA online chat to access the chat room. Please test the site ahead of time to ensure you will be able to login on the day of the chat.
Step 2: You will have two options for accessing the room: as a guest or by utilizing your Directory ID and password.
· If you enter as a guest, please create a user name indicating your name and your program in the following format: "Name_PTMBA or _FTMBA or _MS" such as "JohnSmith_PTMBA."
· If you enter using your Directory ID and password (the same credentials that you use to login to Testudo), your name will be automatically populated for you.
Step 3: Click on the “Enter Room” button.
Step 4: After entering the chat, please check the "speaker" icon found at the top of your screen, and ensure the "Mute My Speakers" is not selected.
