Academic Leadership
The Master of Quantitative Finance program is offered by the Smith School’s Finance Department and led by Academic Director Liu Yang.
Dr. Yang is a thought leader in corporate finance on mergers and acquisitions, investments, corporate governance, and labor and finance. She has published in many top finance journals, including the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies. She is also an award-winning teacher with extensive teaching experience. Dr. Yang received her PhD from the University of Maryland and has been a faculty member of the Smith School since 2012. Dr. Yang teaches masters courses in financial management and corporate valuation.
