Campus Parking Permits
Parking permit registration opens to graduate students on Monday, July 25 at 10:00 am eastern time. Parking registration is on a space-available basis, so it’s recommended that students apply for a parking permit when registration opens.

Dulles Airport Shuttle Program
The UMD Graduate Student Government (GSG) Student Welcome Shuttle Program provides transportation for students from Dulles Airport to their new home. If you would like to be considered for this program, please complete the interest form no later than Thursday, July 21 at midnight eastern time.

July/August Academic Skill Building Workshops
The Smith Master Student Association (SMSA), together with the Masters Programs Office, frequently hosts Academic Skill-Building Workshops for current students. In July and August, there will be three different academic skill-building workshops offered online, and incoming students are welcome to join. These workshops are most appropriate for students who do not have prior experience with these topics. The cost is $5/workshop. Sessions include:
Introduction to Data Science with Python - Sunday, July 31, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Introduction to Data Science with R - Saturday, August 6, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Introduction to Structured Query Language (SQL) - Sunday, August 7, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Reminder: If you have made your 2nd deposit, you may log into HireSmith to create a profile and schedule an appointment with any of the six graduate coaches. Please allow five business days from the date of your deposit to access HireSmith and create your profile.
