Want to be more confident in your operational decisions?

Learn techniques seldom applied in business to help you see through the data fog.

After a dozen years in IT operations, Jason Walker became frustrated with the lack of options for improving service and business processes. Work harder or outsource to low-cost regions seemed to be the only two levers available.

In 2011, Jason left his job to begin a journey of discovery that started with the Smith School executive MBA program. Since graduating in 2012, Jason has continued his learning in process improvement methods and techniques. Now a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, he has helped firms in health care, government, non-profit, energy, media, and IT industries achieve sustainable improvement programs. "The secret sauce, if there is any," he says, "is simplicity." Demonstrating simpler, more powerful ways of thinking about work as processes, the waste inherent in those processes, and the fallacies of traditional measurement strategies is eye-opening.  A form of advanced common sense, the first hurdle is convincing people to abandon some of their core beliefs. Jason is currently Director of Process Innovation at Oracle where he is helping to install a global process improvement framework based on Lean Six Sigma principles.
