Overview

• The Robert H. Smith School of Business provides each graduate student with a @marylandsmith.umd.edu G Suite account. The @marylandsmtih.umd.edu account is in addition to UMD's Division of IT's @umd.edu G Suite account. If desired, the @umd.edu account can be forwarded to the @marylandsmith.umd.edu account using Gmail settings.
• Previous @rhsmith.umd.edu accounts were merged into @marylandsmith.umd.edu accounts summer 2020. If assistance regarding @rhsmith.umd.edu merge to @marylandsmith.umd.edu is needed, contact Smith IT at helpme@rhsmith.umd.edu or 301-405-2269.
• Canvas accounts remain active for 270 days (2 full semesters) after graduation. 
• University Directory IDs will remain active for 270 days (2 full semesters) after graduation date.

E-mail and File Storage

Question:     What happens to all of the old e-mails, attachments and folders when my mailbox expires?  Will I still be able to access them, or do I have to forward them to another e-mail account?
Answer:     Once an MBA or Specialty Masters student graduates, you do not keep your @umd.edu account. Go to http://dataliberation.org and see how the Google engineers recommend saving your data.
