This week we would like to introduce you to several links and technology resources available to you at University of Maryland.  The frequently used links below will help you navigate the MBA program more smoothly.

 

Please remember to visit the newly Admitted Student Website on Networth to access the Pre-Program Checklist to stay on top of weekly task items.

 

Frequently Used Links:

 

Networth

This is where the Admitted Student Website is located and where you will find upcoming events and important announcements for your campus, courses and schedule information, academic calendar and financial resources.  At the conclusion of orientation, you will be transitioned to the main Networth site for all program information.

Canvas

The University’s learning management system- commonly used by your professors to post assignments, participate in class discussions and view instructor feedback.

 

Testudo

An online resource offering course registration, course availability and grade inquiries.  Additionally students may access the resources of the Registrar's office such as your student account, get enrollment verification and request official transcripts.

 

VBIC

UMD Library host's a Virtual Business Information Center (VBIC) that is a collection of electronic and print business resources intended to provide assistance to those seeking authoritative business information. 

 

HireSmith

HireSmith is a full service resource for employers, students and alumni.  Our employers search for ideal candidates to fill their business needs. Smith students and alumni conduct job searches, reach out to their coaches, and sign up for career events.  To prepare to use HireSmith you will need to complete the form below and schedule an introductory call with your OCS Career Coach.

UMD contracts make popular software available to students at no additional charge: Microsoft Office, Windows upgrades, Adobe creative programs, anti-virus software.

Box is a cloud-based storage and collaboration system that provides a Web interface for uploading, downloading, sharing, and discussing files.

Weekly Checklist Task Reminders: 

 

Required:

  • Set up Directory ID and password (if you have not already done so)
  • Register for Fall 2016 courses (if you have not already done so)
  • Submit immunization paperwork
  • Register for Pre-Skill course
  • Complete Pre-Orientation Survey
Strongly Recommended:

Optional:

  • Register for MathCamp
  • Submit preferred first name for classroom name tent
  • Order business cards and name tag
