Good Afternoon,

Orientation is quickly approaching and this week we have final Orientation reminders! This includes upcoming events, parking information, and an assignment to prepare prior to Orientation. In addition, we have final reminders regarding upcoming deadlines. To access the Pre-Program Checklist and to find answers to questions you might have, we encourage you to visit the Incoming Student Website.

 

Weekly Checklist Task Reminders:

This week’s mandatory task items are:

Order Smith Nametag, if you have not done so already

Complete Pre-Skills Requirements (due August 9th)

Review & Attend Orientation Events (see below for more information)

 
MBA Class of  2017 Orientation Events:

Thursday, August 6th:

Smith International MBA Orientation, required for all incoming international students –  click here for more information
Networking Social – Join your fellow MBA classmates, along with incoming Part-Time MBA and current Executive MBA students for an informal happy hour in the Van Munching Hall Courtyard at the conclusion of the day’s events. Food & drinks will be provided.

Saturday, August 22nd, 5:00PM:
Optional Social Event – Join your classmates and 2nd Year MBAs for an informal social event. More details will be provided shortly. Families and significant others welcome!

Orientation Assignment:
In preparation for one of your Orientation sessions on Tuesday, August 11th you will need to read and be ready to discuss the attached case, “Optical Distortion.” A handout is also attached on how to prepare a case and for this session. Hard copies of the case will be provided on Monday, August 10th.

Orientation Parking:
As outlined in last week’s email, if you purchased a campus parking permit by last Friday, July 31st DOTS will update your parking permit so that it is valid as of this Thursday, August 6th. For driving directions to Van Munching Hall, please review the information 
here.
