On Friday, February 26th, Smith School students will participate in a community service activity at the Maryland Food Bank in Baltimore, MD. Bus transportation and lunch will be provided. The bus will leave Van Munching Hall at 11:45 am, and return to the same location by approximately 5:15 pm.
This is a great opportunity for students to give back to the community while learning about nonprofit and warehouse operations. Participants will work in the Maryland Food Bank’s main warehouse and tasks may include repacking donated food on a conveyor system, packing assorted food kits, packing health and beauty kits, and/or checking expiration dates.
