Registration Information

Registration is conducted on Testudo. Click the Registration (Drop/Add) link to add/drop classes. 

All registration questions should be directed to campus advisors.

Tuesday, February 25 at 7:30am

Registration Blocks:
Students should check their account for blocks and resolve by February 14.

Summer I: June 1 - June 23
Summer I Finals: June 24 - 25
Summer II: June 29 - August 13
Summer II Finals: August  17 - 20
Registration Instructions

1) Summer I Required Course for Summer (August) Graduates for 2018 Admits:

BUSI787 DC11 Integrative Capstone - Students who will graduate in August 2020 must register for BUSI787 DC11 Integrative Capstone to complete required course credits. Students who will graduate in December 2020 may elect to register for BUSI787 in Summer I 2020 or Fall 2020. 

Within Registration (Drop/Add), enter:

  1. Select Term: Summer I 2020
  2. Course Number: BUSI787 (Required Course)
  3. Section Number: DC11 (Required Course)
  4. Grade Type: Choose Regular from the drop-down menu
  5. Credits: 2
  6. After course is added, click Submit Changes
  7. Students will receive a message stating courses are non-standard. Click Enter to bypass this message
  8. Click View Schedule to confirm courses

BUSI787 DC11 will meet in Van Munching Hall in College Park on May 29, 30, and 31. Students should anticipate an 8am-6pm schedule each day. 

BUSI787 in Fall 2020 will meet on November 14, 21, and 22.

2) Summer I Required Course for 2018 Admits: 
BUSI758R Business Ethics

Within Registration (Drop/Add), enter:

  1. Select Term: Summer I 2020
  2. Course Number: BUSI758R (Required Course)
  3. Section Number: DC11 or DC12 (Required Course)
  4. Grade Type: Choose Regular from the drop-down menu
  5. Credits: 2
  6. 3After course is added, click Submit Changes
  7. Students will receive a message stating courses are non-standard. Click Enter to bypass this message
  8. Click View Schedule to confirm courses

3) Summer II Elective Course Offerings:
Review available Summer II 2020 courses.

Evening MBA students are eligible to take elective courses at any of the off-site campuses: Baltimore, Shady Grove or Washington, DC.

On the Registration (Drop/Add) page within Testudo enter:

  1. Select Term: Summer I 2020 (Note: The Summer II electives begin during the University's Summer I Term, therefore, to add a "Summer II" elective, including OMBA electives, please select the "Summer I" term in Testudo)
  2. Course Number: (For Example: BUSI764)
  3. Section number: (For Example: DC21)
  4. Grading Method: Choose Regular from the drop-down menu
  5. Credits: 2
  6. After all courses are added, click Submit Changes
  7. Students will receive a message stating the course is non standard. Students must click Enter to bypass this message.
  8. Click View Schedule to confirm courses

Immediate Payment Exemption

Smith MBA students are entitled to an Immediate Payment Exemption. Please disregard the Testudo message indicating that immediate payment is required post-registration. 

Financial Aid: Students who want to be considered for financial aid in the Summer must choose "financial aid" under payment options. The Financial Aid Office will receive your information and package your award. 

Registering for More than 6 Credits
Students must contact their campus advisor for approval. 

Waitlist
If a course is full, students must be on the waitlist for future consideration should seats become available. Starting the first day of classes for the University, students on a waitlist for a course must execute daily waitlist check-ins online to remain on the waitlist (Testudo Waitlist Check-In). Placement on the waitlist does not guarantee admittance to the course.
