MBA Dual Degree Programs

Requirements for dual degrees vary by program, but generally MBA students take the MBA core courses, and then complete the degree requirements for a second graduate program. Separate applications may be required, and some programs may require additional standardized tests prior to admission. Please check with the non-business school dual partner about the availability of part time classes (evening or weekend), if desired.

The dual MBA/MS and MBA/MFin programs are designed to enable students to gain broad management skills and knowledge while developing in-depth understanding of a particular business area. Dual degree students earn two Master’s-level degrees—the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and one of the following Business Master's degrees: either the Master of Finance (MFin), Master of Science in Accounting, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Information Systems, Master of Science in Marketing Analytics, or Master of Science in Supply Chain Management.

Both masters degrees are awarded simultaneously upon successful completion of the 66 required credits. The dual degree program takes at least 2½ years to complete as a full time College Park MBA student and at least 3½ years to complete as an Part Time/Flex MBA student.

Curriculum Requirements
All students are required to complete core MBA requirements (including all courses which are part of the MBA program to which they are admitted), plus the requirements of the Business Master's degree that they choose. Students should work closely with their campus advisor prior to applying to the dual degree program to discuss the degree requirements and class schedules. Some of the Business Master's programs are only offered during the day in College Park. Currently, Business Master's courses are not offered in summer.
